Check in? Check. The only little hiccup here was that some
of us had to get out of the baggage line in order to use Delta’s check-in
kiosks first. And that really was not a big deal at all. The lines moved
quickly and we were soon going through security
.
Waiting in the terminal at the gate? Check. There was a gate
change, but it was only a few gates down the terminal. No big deal. We had plenty of time to get something to eat, chat, and relax a little.
Boarding the plane? Yep, you guessed it. Check.
The flight went nicely, and we had a couple of youth who
enjoyed their first airplane flight (and one who will actually remember this
one.) There was a wee bit of turbulence here and there, and some amazing lightning -far away- no where near our plane.
Once we landed in Kansas City, we took three shuttle vans to
the Hilton Hotel and settled in for the night.
